Safety

We know that you can't predict every move on the road, so the protection of passengers and pedestrians has been paramount in the Jazz's design. As a result, the Jazz has been awarded the top 5 Star Euro NCAP Safety rating for its innovative safety features throughout.

In the event of a collision, the Jazz's anti-whiplash front head restraints and 3-point emergency locking retractor seatbelts help to keep you and your passengers safe and secure. There are also seatbelt reminders for both the front and rear seats.

All the Jazz's models are fitted with front and side airbags plus full-length side curtain airbags to protect the cabin. And the intelligent Supplemental Restrains System (SRS) not only allows you to turn the passenger airbag off but also reminds you to switch it on again.

    Vehicle Stability Assist

In the event of a front-end collision, the Jazz's revolutionary Advanced Capability Engineering (ACE) frame structure is designed to efficiently absorb the impact. It helps redirect the impact energy through the frame and away from the passenger compartment in order to protect you, and everyone inside.

Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) helps to keep the Jazz on course in adverse driving conditions by detecting and then correcting the potential to over and under steer. So, when necessary VSA adjusts the engine output and then uses the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to apply brakes to each wheel. Sometimes the response is so quick that instability can be corrected before you're even aware of it.

Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) works together with ABS to keep directional stability. And in an emergency, Brake Assist (BA) maintains braking force.
